How to Heat The Food:

Pierogi:

Pierogi can be heated up in any of 3 ways:

* in a traditional way boil some water in a pot, put pierogi into a boiling water for 30-60 seconds

OR

* like fried? Add a little bit of oil into the frying pan and fry each side on medium heat for about 1 min. or until desired crispiness is reached.

OR

* least recommended - spread pierogi on a plate and sprinkle with a little bit of water, microwave for about 30 seconds. Be careful not to dry them.

Stuffed Cabbage:

Add stuffed cabbage to a pot, pour all the sauce you received (in main box and a little side container) in and add 1-2 tablespoons of water. Cover with a lid and let it seat on medium heat for 7-9 min.

OR

You can also microwave the stuffed cabbage with the sauce (skip the water) for about 90 seconds.

Bigos:

Put bigos into the pot or on the pan. Add 1-2 tablespoons of water and heat on medium heat for about 4 min., stirring often.

OR

Bigos can be microwaved as well, for about 90 seconds. Skip the water then.

Soups:

Add Borscht or Zurek to the pot and heat on medium for about 4 minutes. Don't boil. If you like you once is heated, you can add some sour cream/kefir/plain yogurt to any of the soups.

OR

Soups can be microwaved as well but make sure they won't overheat. 90 seconds should be sufficient.

Potatoes w dill:

Put potatoes into a pot or on the pan. Add 1 tablespoon of water or if you like it 1 tablespoon of oil on the pan. Heat until warm for about 3 min. stirring often.

OR

They can be microwaved for about 60 seconds. Skip the water and oil then. 

Please keep in mind our containers are NOT microwave safe. 

Chicken & Pork Schnitzels:

Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan. Wait until slightly warm and put the schnitzel in. Warm on medium/low heat each side for about 1-2 min.

OR

Schnitzels can be microwaved but they will get a bit soggier due to breadcrumbs losing their crispiness. Microwave for 60 seconds.

Vegetable Salad:

This dish is eaten cold. Do not warm it up. 

Potato Pancakes:

Put about 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan. Wait until it heats well and place the potato pancakes on it. About 30 seconds each side. 

OR

They can be microwaved but will lose any remaining crispiness. 

About 30-60 seconds in microwave.

Halushki:

Put Halushki into the pot or a pan. Add 1 tablespoon of water. Heat on medium heat for about 2 minutes stirring often.

OR

Halushki can be microwaved easily. 60 seconds in microwave.

Sausage:

Sausage can be placed into the over for 200F degrees for 15 minutes. Cutting the sausage will speed up the process. 

OR

 Heated up on the pan with 1 tablespoon of oil, each side for about 1-2 min.

OR

Microwave, 60 seconds should be enough. 

Sauerkraut:

Place sauerkraut into the pot or on the pan. Heat on medium heat for about 2-3min. stirring often.

OR

Microwave for 60 seconds. 

Sweets:

Angel Wings should not be heated. They are eaten as is.

PoppySeed Cake should not be heated as well. Unless you like mushy warm poppy mass ;). 

 

Apple Cake can be heated up slightly for 15-30 seconds in microwave if you prefer warm instead of cold apple cake.
